
The Steve Cooper Lodge was completed in 1994 as one of the major legacies from the 1995 Canada Winter Games.
This 2000+ sq foot facility serves as a focal point for the Wapiti Nordic Ski Club.
During the ski season, the Lodge is generally open Monday to Thursday evenings and during the day on weekends and holidays. At other times, the Lodge is open for special events and bookings.
Among the building's features:
-Lounge/meeting are (upper level)
-Wood burning stove
-Extensive outdoor deck area
-Ski waxing area (lower level)
-Kitchen and canteen
-One wheelchair accessible washroom on the main floor and mens and ladies washrooms (with shower stall) on the lower floor

The Steve Cooper Lodge may be rented for meetings, wedding receptions, parties, or other gatherings. The facility provides a quiet, comfortable setting for up to 100 people (or up to 80 for a sit down meal.) A small kitchen and two gas barbeques are available to help you serve and prepare foods. For business meetings, a tv/vcr, overhead projector, and flipcharts are at your disposal.
