

The Wapiti Nordic Ski Club is one of Canada's premier cross country skiing and biathlon facilities. It is home to the Steve Cooper Lodge which was completed in 1994 as one of the major legacies from the 1995 Canada Winter Games.
The WNSC is located 8 km south of Grande Prairie, AB on Hwy 40, turn west across from Camp Tamarack and proceed 1 km to the lodge and parking lot.
There are over 35kms of trails for both classical and skate skiing, which includes the Weyerhaeuser Forest Trail. The club has the longest night skiing trail in Alberta - 4.5kms of lit trail.
The club is used by members in the spring, summer, and fall for hiking, mountain biking, and running.
