WINTER MEMBERSHIP GENERAL INFO:

We have something for everyone at Wapiti Nordic. Our trails are groomed for classic and skate skiing and we have multi use trails for fat biking, snowshoeing and hiking.  For those just getting started, we offer adult private and group lessons and clinics for waxing, trail familiarization & ski clinics. Annual Memberships will go on sale in October each year and are effective November 1 to Oct 31st of the following year - purchase early and save 10% until November 30th! Day passes are available throughout the year. Membership parking passes will be mailed out in batches every two weeks.

NEW FOR WINTER 2025-26:
A one time adjustment of $22 has been added to all Wapiti Nordic memberships to include Nordiq Alberta and Nordiq Canada membership fees. These organizations support the development of cross country skiing (programs, volunteer training, technical & race hosting support etc) and provide liability insurance for Wapiti Nordic Ski Club activities. The Nordiq Canada membership brings access to a savings program with select vendors - see here. The base Wapiti Nordic membership rate has remained the same as for the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 seasons. The 10% Early Bird discount applies to the base Wapiti Nordic rate and not the $22 Nordiq adjustment as these funds go straight to those organizations.
"A membership is, hands down, the best value I get for my annual health/recreation/entertainment spending.
Highly recommend - this place is a gem!!"

Why should I buy a Wapiti Nordic Ski Club Membership?
  • Support Trail Maintenance: WNSC is one of the few clubs in the province that employs a groomer year round so that you can enjoy 35km of beautifully maintained trails any day of the week or year! Your membership fees go towards this expense as well as maintenance and operation of our buildings, liability insurance, etc. Your Membership fee is subsidized by the sweat equity and tireless work that volunteers perform year round - summer work includes clearing deadfall, cutting grass and trimming encroaching brush to prepare for the winter.
  • Program discounts: Receive special member rates for ski lessons and other club programs.
  • Advocacy: Club members form a strong advocacy group - letting stakeholders know that this area is used for recreation and needs to stay that way! Club members were critical in stopping the proposed Highway 40 bypass through the middle of the trails!
  • Fun & Friends: Participate in Club activities, volunteer or simply meet people who enjoy the outdoors - like you!
  • Voting Privileges: At the Annual General Meeting.

What types of Membership are available?
  • Annual: Runs November 1st to October 31st of each year - Adult, Senior/Student, Youth and Child options available (purchase above)
  • Day Pass - Winter or Summer: Valid day of purchase only - Adult, Senior/Student and Family Pass options (purchase above)
  • Summer: Runs April 1st to October 31st of each year > 2025 summer passes will be available once the ski season has closed, usually April 1st each year.

IMPORTANT: Purchasing a Membership or Day Pass automatically implies your assumption of risk in using our trails and adherence to any health protocols if in place. See full policy here
Membership FAQ:
  • How can you tell if I am a Member? Annual members receive their parking pass via the mail. Summer memberships do not receive a parking pass. Your parking pass must be displayed when parked in either the North or South parking lots. Vehicles without a parking pass will be issued a Membership reminder. WNSC is a not for profit volunteer club - please respect our membership fee program. Our fees provide excellent value for your fitness dollar and we want to keep it that way.
  • Can I bring my dog on the trails at WNSC? Please see our Pet Guidelines
  • Can I loan my parking pass to a friend? WNSC Memberships are non transferable. Day passes are available for guests. Please encourage them to support your local Nordic Club.
  • Which trails can I walk on in the Winter? Sorry, all SKI trails are closed to walking once the snow has fallen and we have commenced grooming. Please respect the hard work that goes into maintaining our groomed trails. Thank you! Fat biking,  Snow shoeing and hiking are permitted on our MULTI USE trails in the Winter season.
