William Armstrong
End of Season Athlete Profile

William Armstrong, has been a member of the Wapiti Nordic Race Team since 2016. He also skied with the Junior team for a year, like his older brother, but could keep up to the faster kids, so joined the Senior team a year earlier than usual. Will has since blossomed into a brilliant athlete who portrays kindness, openness and a has a true sense of sportsmanship. Will can be found chatting with his fellow competitors from across the country after his races and makes friends wherever he goes. On course he is considerate and yet fierce which is how he earned his Alberta U14 Champion Title. Will was nominated to the Alberta Development Ski Team this past year and has been a part of numerous provincial camps growing and building on his strength and technique. Will’s goals this year are to keep his Provincial Champion title for the U16 boys; representing Team Alberta North and medaling in the Arctic Winter Games in Ft McMurray; and medaling at Nationals in Thunder Bay, Ontario this year. Will can be found racing around on the trails training and his bright warm smile and kind comments will make you take notice. We congratulate William on his amazing results last season and incredible attitude in this tough sport!
