WINTER 2024-2025:

  • Rental format for 2024-2025 is DROP IN ONLY: Rental hours for this Winter to be confirmed below on ongoing basis + may be subject to change based on weather and snow conditions.
  • "Rental Drop In + Pick Up" means you can drop by the lodge and collect your equipment any time within this window; "last gear back time" is 2 hours from the end of the pick up window.
    • RENTAL AVAILABILITY:
    • No rentals Saturday, March 22 or Sunday 23rd = sorry, rentals closed for rest of the 2024/2025 season.
    • Drop in rental times start from the time of pick up and go for a 2 hour time slot.
    • All rentals must be returned by 4:30pm as the lodge closes at 5pm
    • Payment via e-store (below) or exact cash payment at Rental Room. We cannot guarantee equipment availability so please be prepared to purchase via e-store when on site at Wapiti Nordic.
    • ​Note: Ski and snowshoe rentals do not operate unless temperatures are above -21c. Please do not call the lodge (not always staffed) - if nothing is posted = no rentals available. Trails are still open 24/7- we do not close the trails.
  • Prices:
    • Snowshoe Package: $14.00 (for 2 hours)
    • Skis (Skate or Classic) Package: boots and poles: $20.00 (for 2 hours)
    • Kid's Ski or Snowshoe Package: $12.00 (for 2 hours)
    • Ski's only: $12 (for 2 hours)
    • Poles only: $10 (for 2 hours)
    • Boots only: $12 (for 2 hours​)
  • If required, Adult Day pass: $14.00 (unless you hold an annual membership)

  • Waxing Clinics available throughout the season, see upcoming dates here. Wax room is open whenever the lodge is open.


​Be sure to check Trail Conditions before you head out - especially if you are new to Wapiti Nordic as a facility or as a Beginner skier. If lodge is closed, outhouses are available off the main parking lot behind the timing tower or at the biathlon range. 

Rental Basics: 
  • As a volunteer based club, we have a limited inventory of cross country ski equipment and some snowshoes available for users to rent on a first come, first served basis.
  • We will update rental availability for holidays with our extended rental room hours.   
  • Cash or Online purchase available (QR code) for drop-ins once on site, bring your phone if you plan to pay electronically.
  • Drop in rentals available, but pre-booked rentals given priority.
  • Rental equipment must be returned to the lodge by 4:30pm!
  • Rentals are also dependent on snow conditions - if they are less than ideal and you are a novice skier, our staff/volunteers will use their discretion.
  • Rentals only available if the temperature is above -21c (that is, must be -20c or warmer)
