WNSC isn't just about the winter sports - we want people to enjoy our fabulous trails year round! Check out our:
As always, we are open to your feedback on other ways in which the WNSC trails could be utilized in the summer months
Who Am I sharing the trails with?
Just a reminder that while you are out enjoying the trails you share them with others. Please remember to let people know when you are passing on bikes or running. Making noise is a good idea.
We also share the trails with a large number of birds and mammals. The following articles contain information about animals that are present in the boreal forest. While you may not see them all the time, there are larger mammals present. We are actually visiting their home, so it is our responsibility to know who we may meet and how to react when we see them. You can often hear the woodpeckers and see the debris they leave on the forest floor. The hare are just turning colour now, so if you see them in the next few weeks you may still see some white spots.
