My Endorphin Zone (MEz) - Preparing for your loppet
Purpose: To prepare adult WNSC members for efficient participation in a loppet this season (and future years).
Participants: The program is aimed at intermediate and advanced skiers.
Guidelines:
Objectives:
1. To improve your cross country skiing technique. For the majority of time this group will focus on classical skiing. Ski-skating technique will also be covered for participants who wish to ski-skate their loppet.
2. To train participants to ski longer distances efficiently.
3. Be willing to ski a minimum of ten kilometers each Sunday.
4. To practice self-pacing strategies, and self-care for efficient skiing in a loppet.
5. During each Sunday session, to ski non-stop for five kilometers.

- Meet at the Steve Cooper Lodge Stadium 11:00 am, Sundays (Feb. 14, 21, 28 and Mar 7 2021). If you missed any of the previous sessions you can still sign up for the remaining ones @$5 each.
- Please book your own times for using a wax bench in the Lodge if required
- MEz activities will not take place when the temperature is colder than minus twenty. (Environment Canada)
- Participants must have their own cross country skiing equipment.
- Follow WNSC COVID-19 safety guidelines while participating in this program.
