Who does what ..

Picture
Wapiti Nordic Ski Club is a not-for-profit, registered sport and recreation Society that averages over 750 annual members! Our Club is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, we have a large network of passionate volunteers who help lead programs, organize events, perform trail maintenance and act as Lodge Ambassadors. We also have several employees to help run the operational side of things.

Operations Coordinator: NOW HIRING Winter 2024 - 2025! This position was created in January 2022 to help meet growing public interest in Wapiti Nordic's outdoor recreational offerings. The Operations Coordinator supports all of the programs and operations at Wapiti Nordic, primarily in the winter months to date.
Interested in applying for this role? Rate is $25/hour. Check out the Position Description and submit your resume here

Trail and Facilities Attendant - Meet Patrick! Wapiti Nordic is very fortunate to have a sufficient number of loyal annual members to support a full time trail and facilities position. Most Nordic clubs operate solely with volunteer groomers who set track when they have free time to do so - usually just on weekends! How spoiled are we?!? Our extensive network of 35kms of trails also warrants a dedicated staff member who is also supported by trained volunteer groomers during the week and on weekends.

Book Keeper: This contract part time role is the backbone of our membership registration process to ensure you receive your annual parking pass! It also provides valuable support to our volunteer Treasurer by reconciling bank statements and ensuring invoices are paid in a timely manner. [Position description in development stage]

Lodge Attendants:
These part-time, seasonal, weekend employees play an important role in managing equipment, lessons and ensuring visitors to the lodge are greeted and any questions are answered. They are also responsible for welcoming members and visitors to the lodge and keeping it clean, tidy and stoking the fire.  Detailed position description available HERE.
